1. Who processes your data

RentHouse.am is responsible for the personal data collected through this website. For privacy questions or requests, contact us at [email protected].

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the website, we may collect: • account information, including your name, email address, telephone number, email-verification status and securely hashed password; • booking, contact, service and property-listing requests, including dates, guest count, group type, message and the property or service concerned; • information you send to our support team or through WhatsApp and email; • technical information needed to operate and protect the service, such as IP address, browser and device information, request time, request identifier, security events and server-error logs.

We do not collect payment-card or bank-account details through this website. Passwords are not stored in readable form.

3. Why we use your information

We use personal data to create and protect accounts; verify email addresses; provide password recovery; display favorites; receive and manage booking, service, contact and property-listing requests; contact you about a request; prevent abuse; diagnose failures; maintain security; understand aggregate website usage; comply with legal obligations; and establish or defend legal claims.

Depending on the situation, processing is based on your consent, your request to receive a service or take steps before an agreement, our legitimate need to operate and secure the platform, or a legal obligation. You may withdraw consent at any time where consent is the applicable basis, without affecting earlier lawful processing.

4. Booking and service requests

A request submitted through the website is not a confirmed reservation. We may share the minimum necessary request details with the relevant property owner or service provider so that availability, price and other details can be confirmed. Please do not include sensitive personal information in free-text messages unless it is necessary.

5. Cookies, analytics and maps

When you sign in, we use an essential, secure HTTP-only session cookie that expires after 14 days. It is required to keep you signed in and protect your account.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and website performance. Cloudflare states that this service does not use cookies or localStorage for analytics. Map tiles are provided by OpenStreetMap services, which may receive technical request information such as your IP address when a map loads. We do not use advertising cookies and do not sell personal data.

6. Who may receive your information

We disclose data only when needed to provide and protect the service. Recipients may include the relevant property owner or service provider; hosting and database infrastructure providers; Brevo for transactional email delivery; Cloudflare for delivery, security and aggregate analytics; OpenStreetMap map-tile services; professional advisers; and public authorities when disclosure is required by law.

Service providers may process data only for the services they provide to us and under their applicable contractual and legal duties.

7. Processing outside Armenia

Some technical providers may process data in other countries. Where personal data is transferred outside Armenia, we use the safeguards and permissions required by applicable law and limit the transfer to what is necessary for the service.

8. How long we keep data

Account data is kept while the account is active and until it is deleted or no longer needed. Authentication sessions expire after 14 days unless ended earlier. Requests, correspondence, reviews, audit records and security logs are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent abuse and meet legal or accounting obligations. We delete or anonymize data when it is no longer needed, unless the law requires longer retention.

9. Security

We use access controls, secure password hashing, encrypted HTTPS connections, restricted administrative access, request validation, backups and monitoring intended to protect personal data. No online system can guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account or information has been compromised, contact us promptly.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask whether we process your personal data and request access to it; ask us to correct, update, block or delete inaccurate, unlawfully obtained or unnecessary data; withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; and receive information about the purpose, method, recipients, sources and retention period of processing. You may also complain to Armenia’s authorized personal-data-protection body or a court.

To exercise a right, email [email protected] from the address connected to your account. We may request reasonable information to verify your identity and protect your data from unauthorized disclosure.

11. Children

The website is intended for adults arranging accommodation or related services. A person under 18 should submit personal information only through a parent or legal guardian. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information without appropriate authorization.

12. Changes to this notice
